YCAP is proud to partner with the Office of Victim Services to offer the Invisible Wounds program to Yonkers youth who have been victims of or witnessed a crime.
The Invisible Wounds Program is funded by the Office of Victim Services (OVS), which supports teens and young adults between the ages of 13-24. In addition, assists youths that have witnessed a crime (i.e., shooting, stabbing, domestic violence, robbery, physical assault, etc.) in their community, home, and/or school. Our focus is to help survivors manage trauma, isolation, anxiety, or guilt as a witness of a crime and encourage them to share their experiences in our safe space. Some of the following supportive services include:
- Advocacy
- Referrals
- Community Support
- Trauma-focused therapy
- And much more
Survivors will have no obligation to report the crime they witnessed, and all services are free and confidential. Please contact our office for more information.
