OUR SERVICES:

NUTRITION SUPPORT:

YCAP is committed to aiding the community of Yonkers in food insecurity. This commitment extends beyond our traditional food pantry services. If a client is in need of food, YCAP will supply them with an emergency food bag from our pantry. YCAP also partners with City of Yonkers Municipal Housing to address the needs of a food delivery service to low-income and disabled Yonkers residents. For over 50 years, YCAP has provided a Food Pantry program for the residents of Yonkers.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT:

Tutoring: YCAP collaborates with a premier tutoring service, ABC Tutoring which provides academic enrichment services to prevent the “summer slide”.

Summer Leadership Training Program: YCAP Summer Leadership Training Project addresses the priority need for socio-emotional health and wellness.

YCAP delivers evidence-based programs (EBPS) to middle school and high school students throughout the City of Yonkers.

FAMILY DEVELOPMENT:

YCAP facilitates Back to School initiatives. Their Senior Center is designed to facilitate the social, emotional, and physical well-being of independent seniors by providing access to community resources and activities. YCAP also is part of Workforce Development & Training.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:

YCAP partners with local businesses and coalitions to provide services, resources, and give back to the residents of Yonkers. YCAP offers training in Problem Gambling, a Diabetes Self-Management Program, and a Community Garden.
