YCAP is committed to aiding the community of Yonkers in food insecurity. This commitment extends beyond our traditional food pantry services. If a client is in need of food, YCAP will supply them with an emergency food bag from our pantry. An emergency food package consists of at least 7 days of nutritious food for an individual/family. We provide clients with an assortment of protein, carbohydrates, fresh or canned fruit, low-sodium canned or frozen vegetables, and beverages.
YCAP partners with City of Yonkers Municipal Housing to address the need of a food delivery service to low-income Yonkers residents, living in a specific senior housing. Similar to the Home Delivery service, clients are provided with food boxes on the last Wednesday of every month. These boxes are composed of 21 full meals (3 complete meals a day). Groceries provided are sensitive to restricted diets and includes healthy options such as low sugar and low sodium items, fresh produce, lean proteins and dry goods. The delivery is made to the onsite community room as opposed to door to door.

For over 50 years, YCAP has provided a Food Pantry program for the residents of Yonkers. This nutrition program is a staple in the Yonkers community. From the first client served to the last, we work hard to provide the same quality and variety of food to each person who comes to us for help in addressing their food insecurity. Our Food Pantry is located at 164 Ashburton Ave in Yonkers, NY and is available to families in need twice a month. The program opens at 8:30 am on scheduled days.
